Cleveland Clinic recognized that their existing data center was expected to exceed capacity due to the required electronic medical records and mandates from the federal government. A new data center was needed that would provide the reliability needed to support this world-class organization and to consolidate the IT rooms spread throughout 83 Ohio facilities. Although the Clinic has a robust in-house project management group, Jerry Reich and his team were able to provide resources with the particular skill set needed to guarantee the success of this particular non-clinical project.
The new Tier III, 110,000-SF data center was delivered on time and under budget. Value engineering sessions between the Design/Construction team and Owner resulted in over $10 million value-add items being proposed and over $7 million ultimately accepted by the client. The result is a facility that exceeds the expectation of the client within the allotted budget.
